As a school, we have always promoted a real sense of family and community spirit and I feel that this is still today reflected in our teaching practices.
As many people will know, over the years Miss Stagles and the school has done so much and worked so tirelessly throughout the years. In fact, teaching the art of dance to generations of children in our communities was Nellie’s vocation and passion. Miss Stagles also contributed an overwhelming degree of dedication, pledging her time, effort and energy to improving the lives and well being of many Doncaster residents. She always supported her home Town of Doncaster and the local charities, hospitals and hospices within our borough via our annual dancing show ‘Winter Wonderland’.
Over the years and still to this very day, due to the high standards of professional teaching and tuition, our school continues to produce some excellent “success stories”. We have helped many pupils go on to perform professionally on London’s West End, TV and also on some of the major International Cruise Liners.
Still very much a family run school and one thing that I am determined to ensure is that the dancing school itself stays within the family and continues to be run as a family business, based in our local communities. With the life long support of our extended family – our teachers, who collectively have contributed over 185 years work already to the school we are all 100% committed to continuing the working practices and morals that are at the very core of the school laid down by my Auntie Nellie. Their hard work and commitment is without any doubt the back bone of the School.
